AP's Stupidest Poll Findings of the Primary Season

David L Steinhardt

Polls have taken over our media lives, and they mislead as much or more than they edify.

As this post is cross-posted atlargely, please allow me to cross-post a link to my own polling complaint there at

"Overpaid and under-skilled poll workers are more likely to produce statistics of no value than their competent and motivated counterparts."

Good post!

Fifty percent of the population of the U.S. is below average!

One hundred percent of right-wingers believe cutting school funding will put this problem in its place. Obviously, teachers are at fault.

Polling pundits say more polls should be taken before jumping to conclusions. Exit polls will be taken afterward to measure follow-up poll-taking resistance on the part of the populace.
